Accessibility is often invisible, noticed only when it is missing. A step too high, a narrow doorway, an unreadable menu, or an unusable washroom ... these everyday design gaps quietly determine who gets to participate and who is left out. Not by intent, but by design.
The “Almost Access!ble” comic book portrays these lived realities through relatable, on-the-ground scenarios. Through visual storytelling, it highlights the common barriers people face while navigating everyday spaces like streets and public venues. It moves beyond awareness to understanding and helping professionals, businesses, service providers, and communities recognize what accessibility truly means in real-life contexts.
For millions in the Asia-Pacific region, inaccessibility limits participation in shared experiences. This is not about perfection. It is about progress, asking better questions, making better choices, and designing spaces where everyone feels welcome and safe.
Because going out should be accessible for everyone.
