Make the Right Real in Asia-Pacific

Make the Right Real! is the regional campaign launched by the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) at the second session of the ESCAP Social Development Committee held in October 2010. It aims to accelerate progress towards an inclusive society that ensures, promotes and upholds the rights of all persons with disabilities in Asia and the Pacific.

The Asia-Pacific Network for Accessibility (APNA) is dedicated to advancing accessibility across the Asian and Pacific region. APNA works together to improve physical and digital accessibility with special attention to the distinct needs of different groups of persons with disabilities. We promote creating a more accessible future with universal design-based accessibility aligned with the Incheon Strategy Goal 3.

Goal 3: Enhance access to the physical environment, public transportation, knowledge, information and communication -

Target 3.A: Increase the accessibility of the physical environment in the national capital that is open to the public

Target 3.B: Enhance the accessibility and usability of public transportation

Target 3.C: Enhance the accessibility and usability of information and communications services

Target 3.D: Halve the proportion of persons with disabilities who need but do not have appropriate assistive devices or products
